Dr. Sudipta Thakur is a physician, health-insurance professional, and Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Checkers & Trackers Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (CATCON). He holds a postgraduate qualification in Homoeopathic Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation, combining his clinical background with extensive experience in health insurance and claims management.
Over his professional career, Dr. Thakur has worked extensively in the health-insurance claims domain, including experience in claims management with Chola MS General Insurance, before taking a leadership role at CATCON.
At CATCON, he plays a key role in operations, health-claim investigation, medical audit, fraud and abuse detection, loss mitigation, and professional capability building. His work focuses on bridging clinical understanding with practical insurance investigation and audit while developing effective teams and processes for health-claim risk management.
Beyond his operational leadership, Dr. Thakur has a keen passion for coaching, training, and mentoring. As a trainer, he particularly enjoys transforming complex insurance and investigation concepts into practical, easy-to-understand learning experiences. He is actively involved in developing investigators, medical auditors, coordinators, and emerging professionals, with an emphasis on building analytical thinking, professional judgement, and real-world problem-solving skills.
For him, training is not merely about transferring knowledge—it is about developing people who can think, analyse, decide, and perform with confidence in real-world situations.
